On a daily basis, Independent Textile Testing Service, Inc. (ITTS) performs a variety of foot traffic testing. ITTS offers on site evaluations (actual installations), on site evaluations (simulated installations) and in house contract walking. The most popular foot traffic test is the 20,000 cycle contract walk. This test is currently being used by many manufacturers to render appearance retention values to distributors, dealers and other customers. These evaluations are established by employing the ASTM Draft Test Method and rating in accordance to the CRI/Proposed ISO Rating Scales.
